Sisal - Coir - Seagrass

Sisal, Coir, Seagrass, mountain grass & Jute are natural plant fibres woven to create carpets and rugs. Our Clifton, Bristol showroom has a huge selection of natural fibre carpets on display, with professional help and advice on hand. We source our natural fibre carpets from all the leading suppliers, such as Crucial Trading, Alternative Flooring, Kersaint Cobb and Mellau. Our team of in-house fitters are very experienced with natural fibres and can professionally install your new floor.

Sisal is spun to quite a fine fibre, dyed and woven in many designs. Very hardwearing and the small Boucle weave is good for stairs.

Coir is made from coconut husk and is available in Boucle, Panama & Herringbone designs. The colours available are Natural & Bleached.

Jute is the softest true natural and most similar to a wool carpet, but is the easiest to stain.

Seagrass is the most stain resistant of the natural fibres. The raw material is quite thick, so is only woven in a few basic designs.
